What do the OnePlus 3T, iPhone 7+, Google Pixel XL, Samsung Galaxy S8, and LG G6 have in common? They’re 5 of the best smartphones for photography. And in this blind camera comparison, you get to pick your favorite without any unconscious (or conscious) bias clouding your judgement.
The comparison was put together by Marques Brownlee of MKBHD, and the point of the blind test was two-fold.
First, it illustrates just how good smartphone cameras have gotten, and how slight the differences are between these Top 5 phones on the market. A little bit of post-processing can, for the most part, bring them all to the same exact level.
And second, Brownlee wanted to eliminate the unconscious bias that so often infects these comparisons. If the photos were labeled, it would be easy to justify your personal Apple or Google fandom by noticing the good and ignoring the bad about your chosen phone. Remove that bias, and you might be surprised by the phone you pick.
So… which do you prefer? A, B, C, D, or E? Check out the full video up top to see all of the comparison images and find out which phone corresponds to which letter.
